Library consultant Pamela Martin-Diaz has created a set of outlines for early literacy stations based on Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL) books and the Five Early Literacy Practices from Every Child Ready to Read®.
Ohio library staff may use or adapt these stations to promote enrollment in the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library (OGIL), Ohio's statewide initiative that makes DPIL available to every Ohio child from 0-5 years old.
Through OGIL, enrolled children receive one free book in the mail each month until their 5th birthday. All children in Ohio are eligible and this program is available at no cost to families.
