Ohio Library Council Convention and Expo, Sept. 28-30, 2016

Registration is open for the 2016 Ohio Library Council Convention & Expo, September 28-30 at Kalahari Resort, Sandusky. 


Keynote speakers include Ohio native, National Book Award winner, Coretta Scott King Award Winner, and Newbery honoree Jacqueline Woodson, plus bestselling crime novelist Karin Slaughter, and Shaka Senghor, advocate for the incarcerated and author of Writing My Wrongs

Breakout sessions related to early literacy include a Guerrilla Storytime unprogram, a talk on Digital Media in Early Childhood Programming, and a session on Family Place Libraries.  Other breakouts include programs on Summer Learning, Tough Situations with Teens, Getting Every Child a Library Card, College and Career Exploration for Teens, and many more.  The Convention also offers a big vendor expo, networking and special events, and much more.  Read all about it and register on the OLC website.
