Training for Library Staff

Ohio Ready to Read trainers are available to provide Early Literacy 101, a content-rich, fun, educational one-day workshop for 15-35 attendees at your library or online. At least 15 must be public library staff; you may invite other libraries to join you. There is no charge for Early Literacy 101 workshops. Schedule an in-person or online training for your library staff to build a firm foundation in early literacy.

The Reimagining School Readiness workshop is an interactive, online learning opportunity for library staff who work with children 0-8 and their families. Attendees will gain insights into the current research behind the skills and conditions that matter most for a child’s success in school and life.

Storytime Foundations debuted as a one-day conference in spring 2024, designed to provide librarians and library workers a solid overview of storytime basics, techniques, and concepts. A workshop based on the conference will be offered regionally in Ohio starting in 2026.
